Taking the sustainable route

As the world’s leading business partner for managed travel, American Express Global Business Travel (GBT) was proudly the first global travel management company to become carbon neutral with respect to employee business travel. GBT is extending its commitment to its customers and business partners to help them achieve their own carbon ambitions.

TEM is supporting GBT in the launch of its Asia-Pacific customer carbon offset program. By integrating our BlueHaloTM carbon offset technology into GBT’s travel management system, the company is empowering business travellers to offset their flight emissions and take action on climate change.

Funds will directly support projects that empower Indigenous communities in northern Australia, protect ancient rainforests in South America and strengthen renewable energy in Asia.

Through the partnership with GBT and the deployment of BlueHaloTM, TEM is empowering corporate travellers to accurately measure and report on employee carbon emissions associated with flights, accommodation and car hire.

“We looked for a partner who would complement GBT’s suite of global environmental initiatives and with TEM we can also offer clients a world-leading, but distinctly Australian program. Through this new feature our clients can combine sustainability goals with the investment into local community projects such as fire management programs in Arnhem Land, owned exclusively by Aboriginal people.
